more Christmas fun....two in one!

A favorite part of Christmas time coming soon for the boys is helping dad put up the lights! They love getting on the roof and being able to "see everything!" Dad is such a good sport. Mom can't watch....I have visions of them falling off. Typical mom worry.

Next up....Decorating Cookies at Lulu and Papaw's house! The boys were super excited to get to make yummy cookies with 2 of their favorite people! They helped make the dough, cut out cookies with cookie cutters, and the best part....DECORATE just as they pleased! Quin went a little overboard on the sprinkles, but he had a ball. Braidy was a little more picky about what his cookies looked like. They all turned out great, and tasted even better!!! Lulu also bought the boys a really cute book called, A Creature Was Stirring, and she and Papaw read it to them. It was a really cute book that they loved! What a special night and great memories that were made!

B's field trip to Dion's

Braidy and his class got to go on a field trip to Dion's Pizza! They loved it! They got to color, go on a tour of the kitchen, freezer area, and even got to watch the lady make a pizza. They all got 3 pepperoni's (2 to put on the pizza, one to eat!), and they cooked it and got to eat it too! THey all got pizza, apple juice and loved every bite! It was delicious! Braidy LOVED watching the pizza being made! He had a huge smile on his face the whole time...my little chef! What a FUN field trip!!

John's football season

Well football season has come and gone. I never took pictures until the last game, but loved watching John play! He was on the Falcons with several of his baseball buddies and they did awesome. John wore #12 and played quarterback on offense, and linebacker on defense. They only lost 2 games in the regular season, but made it to the SUPERBOWL!

The day after we got home from Louisiana, it was Superbowl time! They played the team that had beaten them twice before, so they definitely knew what it was going to take to win! They led at first and then fell behind. They came SO close to pulling off the win, but fell short. They had nothing to hang their heads about though, because they definitely left it all out on the field.

John had a great season, and was the only one to score a TD in the Superbowl game. He was an awesome QB and LB, too! Way to go, Falcons!

Meet Roscoe!

Meet the newest member of our family, Roscoe! He's a goldendoodle born on October 24th. Ryan has been wanting one, and despite the fact that his wife (me) was very against it, we got one anyways! He's super sweet, but a puppy is a puppy! The boys adore him and we are loving having him in our family, plus he's adorable. Check out that face!

I have to mention the story for our memory sake, no one else probably cares. Ryan flew to Austin for work on a Thursday, and figured instead of flying home and then driving to Dallas to pick Roscoe up, he decided to fly into Dallas, have the puppy brought to him from Midlothian, and fly home with it. Well, that weekend was the huge ICE storm for DFW. So the puppy people could no longer bring the pup(s) to the airport, so Ryan rented a car and drove to meet them somewhere in between the 2. What should have been a quick hour trip (TOPS) turned into a 7-8 hour trip. He was stuck on I-35 for almost 5 hours, not going further than one mile. He eventually made it to his brother's house, and flew home early the next morning. Talk about a MESS!! One of his colleagues also got a puppy, so Ryan not only had one puppy in the car/plane with him, but 2! We were so happy to see him when he got home safe and sound on Saturday morning!

As soon as Roscoe got to his new home, we took him and Scout to PetSmart to pick out some toys, a crate, food, and all the neccessities. Santa was even there. Actually, not Santa, but his helper. This Santa could not have been the real one as he was about 25 years old and his beard kept falling off. Braidy said he wasn't the real one. I think he was right!

Welcome to the family, Roscoe!

and this cute little puppy came home with us too!

Santa Sightings!

Santa Sighting #1:
Santa was at CityBank early last week, so we HAD to go see him! The boys were dying to tell them what they wanted and there were several crafts, activities, and Santa even read them a story, too! Everyone loved Santa. Quin told him he wanted "presents"....what kind? "red and blue ones!"...what do you want in them? "stuff" OK!

Santa Sighting #2:
The next week, Santa came to the Covenant Women & Children's Christmas Party! Lulu invited her grandboys, so of course we had to go!!! There was pizza, a big table of food (Braidy was in heaven), and once Santa arrived, he called each child by name and had a gift for them!

Braidy went back for 2nds (by himself) and came back with this plate of food! Can you count how many cookies are on that plate? Hey, at least there's some veggies too!

Quin and his friend, Chloe, from school!

Someone didn't like Santa this year....

Braidy told Santa he wanted a real elephant, that would grow, would eat peanuts and would live in his backyard. Santa kept encouraging this want of his, and for that I wanted to kick that Santa!

Thanks Lulu for letting us come to your fun party!

Everyone "ROARING"!!!
