Quin turns FOUR!!!

On November 18, Quinny turned FOUR!!! Four years have gone by in the blind of an eye, and although I could cry just thinking about my "baby" being so big, I truly love this age. He's so funny, SO INDEPENDENT (will not let me help him do anything and fully dresses himself almost every morning before I even know he's awake!). He's precious and happy and just as sweet as can be.

On his birthday, we started with "Birthday Weenies" (aka Kolaches)! Everyone is different with their favorites, and that's what makes it such a fun and special tradition! And not to mention, I love his bedhead and sleepy look!

He got a special surprise from Nena and Pops! They sent balloons! If you know Quin, you know he LOVESLOVESLOVES balloons!

We had lunch with cousins at Blue Sky!

He and I went shopping because I had NO IDEA what to get him!...he wanted a car.

He was a tired birthday boy!

And he, too, wanted to make his very own birthday cake. Chocolate cake and chocolate icing and "spwinkles"!! I think it turned out perfect! He was so proud!

We had dinner at his favorite place, Pei Wei!

And then after dinner, Lulu and Papaw joined us for cake and presents!

His birthday party was the next day at Jump N Jungle! It was SO much fun and I know LOTS of little boys and girls who slept very very good that night!

And I have to include this so I can be sure and send all of her little angels payback gifts in the future. Danielle was in town (MY X BFF...not really, I still love her) (kind of) (ok, a lot).
She thought it would be funny to leave Quin a "Present" full of styrofoam noodles with a few dollars, and lots of change thrown in. She's probably still laughing about it. I had JUST vacuumed my house so I found it less funny than her. But I'll hand it to her, Quin thought it was awesome and I did laugh a little. I am already looking forward to Tabor's birthday in a few months!

Happy 4th Birthday Quinny! We love you!!!!!

Braidy turns SIX!

July 10th, Braidy turned six years old!  He is so funny and always plans his own parties to a 'T'. This year was no different and turned out SO perfect!
Again, started with birthday pancakes (he always choose pancakes over donuts...whose kid is this?)
But a candle is ALWAYS included!

He got a very special present on his birthday....a new cousin! Gavin Michael was born so they are exactly 6 years apart!

On his birthday, we went to paint at the Mudroom...

Got a free CAKEPOP at Starbucks, went to see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse with lulu, aunt jess and crockett.....

and had a BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!
This year, he wanted a MIXEL party and wanted to go to Joyland. CHECK!
We had a handful of boys with us and we had the best time at Joyland.
DADDY specially made his cake just for him....a giant Lego cake. He was very specific in that he wanted us to make it at home....So daddy came to the rescue and delivered! whew!

Happy SIXTH birthday, Braids! We love you!!!

John turns NINE!

Clearly, I have slacked BIG TIME on this blog. I really want to get back to it, but it just seems DAUNTING. SO...I'm recapping major points in 2014 (mainly the boys birthdays), and then I'll start fresh for 2015. Many, many years from now, we'll just think 2014 was a very slow and boring year (and we'll be so very wrong!).

So, here are pictures from John's 9th birthday (which is crazy because in just a few short months he'll be turning ten!)
We started the morning with birthday donuts. In our family, we have to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you at least 87 times that day, or it's just not a birthday. (Ryan LOVES this part!)
NINE candles!!!

Happy Birthday again! This time, in a Bundt Cake!!!mmmm

For his party, he had it at Adrenaline City (for the 2nd year in a row). Choices for older boy's parties are limited, and this is always a sure bet. We always leave with tired, sweaty and stinky boys!
They had a great time. Ropes course, football, laser tag, and the favorite...trampoline dodge ball!

Happy 9th Birthday John! We love you!
